Welcome to Tim Griffin’s lab at OMRF
Program in Aging & Metabolism
Our lab studies how biomechanical and metabolic factors influence the health of synovial joints. We apply a multidisciplinary approach to identify novel cellular and biochemical pathways that influence joint tissue inflammation and oxidation—key mediators of disease pathology. A primary goal of our research is to understand the causes of and potential treatments for osteoarthritis, especially in the context of aging, obesity, and exercise.
